Most people reach me after a lot of confusion, and often after they’ve already looked for help. What struck me every time was how little they knew about their budgie despite having gotten help before. They were still struggling to have someone get to know their budgie multiple sessions in, when they could have answers right away if someone asked the right questions.
Before we meet, your budgie goes through my full FEATHER assessment — environment, daily rhythm, diet, reinforcement history, and reproductive biology — so by the time we talk I already understand what’s driving the behavior, how to solve it, and have an entire 90-day plan laid out for you.

What a Clarity Call did for them
Azuki’s story
Azuki was only three years old when she came to The Budgie Academy at the end of 2023. She laid more than 50 eggs in two years — and it had become life-threatening. Her human had already tried everything the internet and their vet suggested, except hormone shots and implants. Those were going to be the next step to try to save her life.
In her Clarity Call, we looked closely at Azuki’s setup and daily life and found her environment was full of “it’s breeding season” signals — the things that tell a budgie’s body to keep making eggs. Together, we mapped out how to identify, adjust, and monitor those signals going forward. Her human’s biggest wish was simple: “I want an egg-free 2024.”
Azuki not only had an egg-free 2024 — she also had an egg-free 2025. And we did it without hormone injections or implants, just by changing her environment and routines.
Fester & Bluey’s story
Fester’s story is a common one. Her human found her in the yard one day and took her in after failing to find her previous home. Bluey was added as a friend for Fester, and they learned to bond with their human wonderfully. Over time, though, problems began to arise. Fester was nesting all over the room, obsessing over and guarding shiny objects. Both birds also flew to attack the necks of other people in the home anytime they came into the room — both were becoming difficult to handle, and coexisting was a challenge.
Through their FEATHER analysis, I recognized that these were all expressions of high hormones and a lack of relationship built with others in the home — resulting in the nesting and aggression. We gave Fester and Bluey training to build a real relationship with others in the home so they wouldn’t attack them anymore. Then we rebalanced the diet and adjusted their surroundings so their hormones would cool down.
After a move, their human had this to say: “There has been a substantial difference in Fester. I can’t remember the last time she bit me, to be honest. She’s now not obsessed with the curtains but does try to bite the door now and again. Both very happy budgies and eating well. Fester spends a lot more time with me and will happily come to me when asked. Very happy and singing often.”
Ahrea, Merlin & Arthur’s story
From morning through afternoon, the flock called incessantly — so loud it was hard to hear yourself think. Feeding times were frantic; pellets were gulped down as if they might disappear, and outside of meals, Ahrea would often bite during handling.
As we worked together, it became clear that their routine and diet weren’t meeting their physiological needs. The feeding schedule, food balance, and daily rhythm were all mixed pieces of generic online information, none of it properly prescribed — which was driving the screaming. We rebalanced the diet, adjusted the feeding routine, and refined handling techniques to better support their natural daily rhythms and their human’s work schedule.
The screaming that once filled the house faded into quiet, contented chatter. Handling became calm instead of tense, and the biting disappeared entirely. Evening fights over perches also stopped, returning them to an even, regular daily rhythm — and peace in the home.

That’s totally okay. The most important work is creating a sustainable habitat and environment that fits you and your flock — and those changes support all of your birds.
Many clients have mixed-species flocks. While the work focuses on a budgie-specific foundation, the biology behind stable hormones, predictable rhythms, and healthy behavior applies across parrot species — and we can adapt the recommendations so your whole flock benefits.
Once I’ve completed a FEATHER analysis for your flock, you can book more sessions without repeating it each time. You’ll also become eligible for the Budgie Academy community — weekly live calls, a like-minded community, and direct access to me.
Budgies are my deepest specialty, but the biological framework I use applies to all parrots, and I’m trained to consult on all of them. If you’re not sure it’s the right fit, start with a Clarity Call and we’ll evaluate your bird’s needs together.
No problem at all. Budgie biology is the same everywhere, and the foundation we build doesn’t depend on location — I adapt dietary and environmental recommendations to the products and fresh foods available in your region.
